Jukebox: Tanglewood concert is nearest venue to hear Wilco

Wilco is worth the trip; itâ€™s the closest venue theyâ€™ll play this time around. At Saratoga Winners in June 1997, Wilco played mainly â€œBeing Thereâ€ songs. At the Union College Memorial Chapel in April 2002 (one of my top shows of that year), they concentrated on â€œYankee Hotel Foxtrot.â€ And Tweedy mixed things up in his solo show at The Egg in November 2005 when drummer Glenn Kotche opened and played on Tweedyâ€™s encores. Tweedyâ€™s band mates have also been busy making non-Wilco music. Wilco has sometimes been dubbed Americaâ€™s Radiohead for their chameleon-like sonic experiments, though some would claim the comparison should go in the other direction, and Tweedy has denied its validity altogether. But who knows where theyâ€™ll move on their next album? One dependable element: The current crew has been stable since 2004 and may be the best Wilco performing unit ever. Tokio Hotel Gush About VMA Nomination, Rihanna, 'Sexy' Jonas Brothers

She climbed into our bedroom — it was horrible," guitarist Tom Kaulitz groaned. His brother, singer Bill, added, "It was the second floor and it was really crazy. We were like, 'Oh ... hi?' But she was so sweet. We don't expect it, so for us it's so cool to be nominated," Bill said. The band said they were nervous about going up against the Jonas Brothers for the award. "I think the Jonas Brothers are really [successful] in America," Bill said. The guys said they don't think they're going to win, but they're happy enough just being nominated.
